Lorenz Grollo
Chairman and CEO
Lorenz Grollo founded Praetorian, drawing on three generations of the Grollo family's 73-year history building, developing, owning and operating landmark Australian commercial property, including Rialto Towers. He leads the firm's investment, development and asset management strategy. Lorenz established Equiset in 2006, a specialist developer and builder of complex projects covering urban regeneration, heritage adaptation, and modern architecture. A leading industry innovator, he co-founded Equiem in 2012 and promptly launched a beta test at Rialto. Today, Equiem is contracted in nearly 1000 buildings globally enabling owners and operators to create responsive human-centric workplaces by integrating building technology and community engagement in one platform. Prior to founding Praetorian, Lorenz was the driver behind the workplace health and performance precinct at Rialto, SFIDI. A continuation of extraordinary industry foresight, Lorenz understands the connection between humans and buildings, and most importantly why such differentiation is critical for sustained leasing strategies. Lorenz also spent over five years with the Property Council of Australia, including as Victorian President, and contributed eight years with the Committee for Melbourne, reflecting his broader engagement in shaping the city's commercial and urban future.
